Linda Jean (Buck) McDermott, 71, of Geneva, FL passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in Altamonte Springs, FL. She was born March 16, 1943 in Johnstown, PA to parents Robert K. and Velma C. (Holzapfel) Buck.

She was a graduate of Greater Johnstown High School in 1961, and a recent retiree of CAN Insurance Company of Orlando, FL.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and son, Bryon K. McDermott.
She is survived by her brother, Kenneth G. Buck and sister, Sharlene J. Buck, both of Johnstown, PA; son, Thomas R. McDermott of Altamonte Springs, FL; daughter, Lisa M. (McDermott) Bennett, wife of Chad Bennett, of Maitland, FL; four grandchildren, Brent T. McDermott and Robert P. McDermott of Johnstown, PA, Brandon D. Bennett and Brianna M. Bennett of Maitland, FL; and her close companion, Preston F. Bryant.

A celebration of life was held at Hospice of the Comforter, 605 Montgomery Rd., Altamonte Springs, FL 32714 on Saturday, August 16th and 12:30 PM.

A private committal service is to be held in Johnstown, PA."
