Linda D. Jarrett passed away on September 16, at the age of 77, in her home in St. Petersburg, FL. Linda was born in Altoona, PA, grew up in Baltimore, MD, and then resided in Severn, MD for most of her adult life. Upon retiring as a registered nurse, Linda permanently moved to St. Petersburg, FL with her husband, Butch, of 21 years. While residing in FL, they continued to spend their summers in the mountains of Allegheny County, MD.
With her husband, Linda traveled the United States, Europe, and many Island Countries. They shared adventures such as sky diving, zip lining and bungee jumping. She enjoyed dinners and outings with family and friends. While at home she enjoyed bingo, playing cards and board games. Her children and grandchildren mostly cherish their mountain weekends and family game nights.
Linda is survived by her husband Eugene L. Jarrett (Butch), brother Jan Helsel and wife Teressa, daughter Sharon Kincer and husband Benny, son Jim Walter and wife Christine, four grandchildren Taylor Kincer and wife Lauren, Brittany Wizner and husband Greg, Kevin Walter and Justin Walter, and 5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother Pearl V. Helsel and father Marion C. Helsel.
Honoring Linda's wishes, she will be cremated with no visitation or memorial service. A private family gathering will be held later in Maryland.
