Linda Lee Horn Stankiewicz
7/31/1948 - 12/28/2022

Linda was the most amazing wife, mother and meemaw during her 74 years on this earth. Her love of her family did not end when her body was done living because her soul will carry her eternal love forever.
To know Linda was to know her passion to live life to the fullest. In her lifetime she accomplished many incredible things. She grew up in a military family and lived many places as a child. She later married her soulmate Wayne on March 9, 1968. Her military lifestyle continued as a spouse and mother with more traveling and relocations while raising two adoring sons. As a Navy spouse with many sparations from her husband during wars and deployments, she was dedicated to raising two active boys, working full-time and enjoying fundraising and helping others. She always had a gift for catching the first (and the most) fish while on the river and beaches with her family. As a Navy mom she continued her love and support to both son's during their Navy deployments and relocations. Linda had a love for playing BINGO with her friends and spent many years with much success enjoying it. She was always on the go pursuing her life path. Her health status changed in March 2003 with open heart surgery, however this did not detour her strong will to live. She surpassed the medical expectations by her miraculous strength and lived almost 10 years past her prognosis. Her determination in her last month of life was extraordinary.
Linda left us on December 28, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind her husband of 54 years Wayne Stankiewicz, her two sons; John Stankieiwcz (Diana) and Charles Stankiewicz. Her four grandchildren; Daulton Stankiewicz, Kelby Stankiewicz, Ayla Stankiewicz and Emilee Stankiewicz and many extended family. A celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
