Lillian V. Powell 87, of Maitland, FL went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 12, 2014.
She was born in Tifton, GA on June 21, 1926, to the late Esther and Albert Maluda. Lillian lived a full and joyful life. Anyone who knew Lillian felt her kind, gentle and calm, yet strong, loving spirit.
Lillian was always active and on the go. She loved to travel and visited places all over the world. She loved making and keeping her friends, bringing people together, and spending time with family. Lillian always made whomever she was speaking with feel as if they were the only one in the room.
Lillian was a long time Insurance, and Financial Representative with Bankers Life and Casualty. She was also successful as a licensed Real Estate Broker and was a beloved member of her community.
Lillian is survived by her daughter; Holly Powell-Salus and son-in-law, Jim Salus of Altamonte Springs, FL; and her son, Phillip Powell and daughter-in-law Kimberly Powell of Apopka, FL . She is also survived by three grandchildren: Madison, Cole, and Brock.
A viewing and funeral service will be held for Lillian at Asbury United Methodist Church, in Maitland, FL on Saturday, March 15th. Viewing at 1:30, Formal Service at 2pm with burial immediately following at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park.
