Leonte A. Peña (affectionately known by family and friends as Leo or Coqui) 39, passed away on April 1, 2020 in Winter Park, FL. He is survived by his parents Freddy Peña and Ana Peña, his wife Myrna Peña and his children Jayden T. Peña, Marcos Charneco, Aryana T. Peña , Jordan Florat-Peña and his sister Lily A. Peña.
He was born in Guayubin, Monte Cristi , Dominican Republic on May 14, 1980.
His family relocated to NYC in 1985 where he grew up. In 2006 he married Myrna Peña, in 2016 they relocated to Winter Springs, FL where they embarked on their new family journey.
Leo was a devoted family man, a hard worker who had an extreme passion for Cars, Motorcycles, and a newfound love for cooking. Leo was a free spirit, adventure seeker who loved to dance, skydive, cliff jump and boy did he love the open road.
Leo was a kind and gentle soul who would do anything for those he loved. He saw the brighter side of any situation and made us all laugh with his quirky ways and his witty jokes. There were no come backs good enough for his jokes.
The love he had for his children was immeasurable. They were his why, the reason for all that he did. He made sure they felt loved and supported, he embraced their individuality. He always joined in on activities with the kids, whether they were jumping, dancing, playing cards or board games or even making a mess, he was right there alongside them. We often joked that he was one of the kids.
Leo was driven, ambitious, determined, brave and most of all a bright light in our lives. Rather, then mourn his death, he would want his family and friends to celebrate his life. Please join us as we remember all of the happy times he shared with those he loved.
The family of Leonte (Leo) A. Peña invites you to leave a message of condolence on his Tribute Wall.
