Leonard M. Pollard, Major USAF Retired, 92 of Lake Mary. Leonard was born 12 January 1923 in Parkersburg, W. Virginia. During WWII he served in the 15th AF, completing 51 combat missions in B-24's. He served in Japan and Korea during the Korean War in an Air Terminal Group. The last years of service was dedicated to TM 76 Tactical Weapons Systems directly involved with the R & D Tactical Concepts and completed the deployment of the Weapons System to Europe and Far East locations. Major Pollard retired in 1964 for the 4504th Tactical Missile Training Wing of Orlando AFB Orlando, where he was the Missile Safety Officer and Commander of the Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron. Leonard was Blessed 3 times with wonderful, beautiful Christian loved ones. Linda Pollard Houser (deceased) son Scott and daughter Wendy Bateman. Leonard M. Pollard, Jr. and wife Cheri, sons Leonard III and Jamie. Lillian Brueckner Pollard: children – son Paul and daughter Karen Schuneman. Mary Fletcher Pollard: survivor-children-Carol, Barbara Faint, and Thomas.
