Lena Elizabeth Mellott, 96, of Sanford, FL, went to be with her Lord on April 22, 2020. Lena was a resident of Spring Hills Lake Mary. She was married to Raymond R. Mellott on January 23, 1943; they were married for 66 years.
Lena and Raymond went into the mission field on October 1, 1965 with EHTNOS360 (formerly New Tribes) until their retirement on May 31, 1985. They served in the jungle along the Amazon River for 20 years in west Brazil and retired to The Homes of ETHNOS360.
Lena is survived by daughter-in-law Abigail Mellott, granddaughter, Margaret Hall and husband Ron, grandsons Raymond Mellott III and wife Kari, Andrew Mellott, Daniel Mellott and wife Meagan, great grandsons Thomas Hall, Jacob Hall and great granddaughter Lydia Mellott, sister Shirley Walker, brother Norm Shives, and sister-in-law Catherine Shives.
Lena was preceded in death by husband Raymond Mellott Sr, son Raymond Mellott Jr., brothers Gerald Shives and wife Glendine, Mart Shives and wife Evelyn, Guy Shives and wife Naomi, Bob Shives and sisters Madlyn Lehman, and Alice Shives.
The memorial service will be held at DeGusipe Funeral Home, 905 S. Laurel Ave., Sanford, FL at 3:00 PM on June 2, 2020. The service will be streamed Live via Facebook here:

Chaplain Dan Royer of The Homes at ETHNOS360 will be officiating. Lena will be buried at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fl with her husband Raymond.
