Lee Jay Colling (1930-2024) passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024, in Winter Park, Florida.
Lee is survived by his son, Jay Stewart Colling, and his seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Stewart Lee Colling, his daughter, Kim Colling Bertoni, and his beloved wife, Nadine Stewart Colling.

Born in Caro, Michigan, Lee met Nadine when they were teenagers and both graduated from Michigan State University together. After a stint in the US Army, where he attained a rank of first lieutenant, Lee and Nadine were married in 1953 and started their family.

In 1958, Lee earned his Law Degree from the University of Michigan, moved the family to Winter Park, Florida and embarked on a long and distinguished legal career. He was elected President of the Orange County Bar Association, the youngest ever at the time; was appointed Special Assistant Attorney General for Florida, was Legislative Counsel for FLAROC, and represented thousands of clients until he retired from his practice at age 91.

Lee loved hunting, tending his Michigan garden, his family, and especially his beloved wife, Nadine.
After 68 years of marriage, Nadine's death in 2021 was a blow from which Lee never fully recovered.
