Leasa Ann Vander Brink, age 59, of Orlando, FL passed away unexpectedly at Orlando Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. She was born in Columbus, OH, on September 11, 1961, the daughter of Larry and Virginia (Moore) Owens.
She is survived by her loving husband, Harry Samuel Vander Brink, Jr., a son, Charles Vander Brink, a daughter, Samantha Vander Brink, a sister, Emilie McDonald, a brother, Jerry Courson, nephews Nathan and Matthew McDonald, Jerry Jr., Jared, Joseph and Jack Courson, nieces Jinny Downs, Jessica Vanderbrink and Jennifer Longest, and grandchildren Rylee and Ryan Dalton.
Leasa worked at Pine Hills Elementary School as a Physical Education Teacher's Assistant and as an after school teacher for many years. She also worked at Hughes Supply for a brief period and ended her career at the Ocoee Recreational Center as a Director's Assistant for children programs. She worked well with children and truly cared about her students, making a lasting and positive impact.
Leasa was a devout Jehovah's Witness and will be sadly missed by her congregation, elders, brothers and sisters. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, amazing grandmother and friend. She was also a breast cancer survivor and the strongest woman we ever knew. She fought long and hard and knew she was loved by many.
A public viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at the DeGusipe Funeral Home Ocoee location from 4:00-8:00pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate this wonderful woman's life!
