On the evening of July 14, 2021, as the clouds parted and the sun set on the horizon, Lawrence "Larry" Anthony Strollo was welcomed by his parents, Pasquale and Louise Strollo, to his eternal home in heaven. He passed away peacefully with his devoted family by his side.

Larry was born in Youngstown, Ohio on Mother's Day, May 11, 1934. As immigrants from Italy, Pasquale and Louise raised Larry and his surviving siblings, J. Pat "Jim" Strollo of Orlando, Fla.; Frances "Fran" DelGarbino (Leo) of Girard, Ohio; and Patricia "Patty" Strollo of Lakeland, Fla. The Strollos valued the importance of hard work, perseverance and a love for delicious Italian food. But at the top of the list was a love for family.

In 1968, Larry first spotted his beloved wife, Patsy, while attending St. Benedict Catholic Church in Richmond, Va. One year later, on Oct. 25, 1969, he married his soulmate, his one true love, Patricia "Patsy" Gibrall Strollo. He steadfastly believed she was sent to him from above. For 52 years, they always held hands, always smiled when they looked at each other, and always loved each other - and always will. He adored Patsy for her beauty, kindness, love and warmth. Most importantly, he was blessed with three sons; Anthony Joseph Strollo Esq. (Anna) of Baltimore, Md.; Michael Pasquale Strollo (Julie) of Girard, Ohio; and Patrick Lawrence Strollo (Allie) of Moseley, Va.; and three grandchildren, Sophia Rose and Nicholas Sean, both of Girard, Ohio, and Abigail Louise of Moseley, Va.
Larry is also survived by his brother-in-law, W. Barry Gibrall (Toni) Henrico, Va. and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Together they will live and pass along the values Larry taught them.

Larry was a proud 1957 graduate of The Ohio State University and a true Buckeye fan. He never missed a game and spent many Saturdays cheering on the Buckeyes with the Ohio State Alumni Club.

Larry was a partner in the architectural firm of Strollo & Strollo Associates of Orlando, Fla., and, while residing in Richmond, Va., was a partner in the architectural firm of Griffey & Strollo. His accomplishments in the architectural field were many. But his most important accomplishment was his devoted love to his large Italian family, "La Famiglia."

A Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Sept. 22 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Mount Dora, Fla., with a Celebration of Life to follow at The Country Club of Mount Dora's clubhouse. Contributions, if so desired, can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or The Ohio State University.
