Lawrence Jeffrey Rod (aka "Omar"), 59, of Longwood, Florida passed away on August 21, 2019. Mr. Rod was born on March 10, 1960 in Hackensack, New Jersey to Martin and Dorothy Rod. He was preceded in death by father Martin H. Rod, survived by his children Allyson Rod and her fiance Dan Stirling, Brandon Rod and his wife Laura, grandchildren Elisha and Trey, mother Dorothy Elaine Rod, brother Darren Rod and his wife Erin, sister Laurie Capo and her husband Joseph,nieces and nephews Cindy, Tommy, Robbie, Emily, Amy, Lily, great niece Julia and best friend Deborah Montevechi.
Larry never lived a boring life. He was quite the adventurer and was always on the go between traveling all over the world including hiking the Appalachian Trail or going to the beach. Larry was always one for "short cuts" which never seemed to be shorter and more than once got you lost. Larry had a tent business from July 1994 until present and his business was called Omar the Tent Maker.
