September 4, 1926 – November 25, 2024
Loving Mother, Wife, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Preceded in death by her loving Husband, Boyd Saul, parents and sisters, son-in-law Joe Cameron and step son Terry Saul. She leaves behind three cherished daughters, a granddaughter, a great granddaughter and great grandson: Adria Thomas, Debra Thomas and husband Terry Shepard, and Shelley Huffman. Granddaughter, Meghan Napolitano and husband James Napolitano, Great Granddaughter Zoey Napolitano, and Great Grandson Brock Napolitano. Also leaving behind step children Beverly Hintz and husband Woody, Kevin Saul and wife Sherry, daughter-in-law Sharon Saul along with their children and grandchildren.
She was 98 years young, never thought of herself as old. She loved music and dancing. She passed peacefully listening to the music she loved surrounded by her daughter Shelley and Granddaughter Meghan. Frank Sinatra's My Way was playing, which is appropriate because she lived her life to the fullest and did things her way all the way until the end. She was loved by all that knew her and she will be missed by so many people. She was tiny but tough as they come, without a hateful bone in her body. She taught us what it is to love unconditionally, to be kind and accepting of everyone. She was a strong advocate of education and made sure all of her daughters pursued it and at least graduated from college. Life was sometimes hard for her but she always made the best of the situation, and the memories are of love and laughter. She grew up on a farm in Oregon, married during WWII to a veteran, and moved to WV. Later raised 3 daughters alone until she married Boyd, with whom she spent 50 loving and wonderful years before his passing. She was an avid news watcher, believed in democracy and voted in every election since she was able to vote. She resided in St Petersburg, Florida, for the last 26 years.
