Lauretta Angelina Carpino, 87, passed away on February 23rd, 2026. She was predeceased by her mother Josephine, her father Frank, and her older brother Joseph. She is survived by her younger sister MaryAnn (Val), her children Laurie Ann, Michelle, Michael, and Anthony. She was also blessed with 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Lauretta was born in the Bronx, New York. She lived in Westchester, Rockland, and Putnam counties until 1972 when she moved to Central Florida, which she called home for the remaining 54 years of her life. She worked in sales until her late retirement, was passionate about politics, and adored time with family more than anything in the world. Her greatest joy was attending family celebrations of birthdays, holidays, dance recitals, talent shows, family reunions, weddings, and so many graduations. Although she experienced memory loss due to Alzheimer's, we are grateful that she never declined to the point of not knowing everyone in her family, including all of the great-grandchildren! The stroke that ended her life was a shock to us all. We celebrated her last birthday just two months ago in December, and as she looked around the table, she was happy, proud, and in her words, "honored" that we were all there to share her special day. She will be remembered by so many as being loving, feisty, and so much fun to be around.
