It is with the deepest of sorrows that we announce the passing of Laura Maria Guerrero, age 82. Laura passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. She was born on February 8, 1944, in Pungala, Ecuador to her loving parents, Serafín Vallejo and Carmen Castillo.

Laura grew up in Ecuador and, from an early age, was a mother figure to many of her siblings and family members. Her life was centered around the things she cherished most: her family, her Catholic faith, hard work, and helping others. She had a beautiful spirit and was known for her warm smile, her ability to make others laugh, and the joy she brought wherever she went. She loved music and dancing and found happiness in being surrounded by the people she loved.

In 1966, Laura married the love of her life, Florencio Guerrero. Together, they shared nearly sixty years of marriage, building a life filled with love, family, faith, and perseverance. They moved to the United States, where they made their home in New Jersey. Laura worked very hard along her husband for many years while raising her beloved daughter. In 2002, she moved to Florida with her family, where they continued building their life together.

Laura's love for Jesus Christ and her Catholic faith was a deeply important part of who she was. Her faith gave her strength throughout her life and remained a source of comfort and hope. She lived her life with love, generosity, and devotion to her family.

Laura will be lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, beloved sister, caring aunt, and dear friend. She leaves behind her devoted husband of nearly sixty years, Florencio Guerrero; her only daughter, Laura Rosario Guerrero; her beloved grandson, Xavier Rivera; her sisters, Rose Vallejo, Carmen Suasnavas, and Maria Martinez; her brothers, Angel Vallejo and Jorge Vallejo; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved her dearly.

Laura came from a very large family, and her presence touched the lives of so many. She gave love freely, cared deeply for others, and leaves behind a legacy that will continue through the many lives she touched.

Although our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort knowing that Laura is no longer suffering and is now at peace in the loving presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. Her beautiful smile, laughter, love, faith, and the memories she created with us will remain in our hearts forever.

Until we meet again, we love you, and you will never be forgotten.
