LARRY LEE WYSONG
The family and friends of Larry Wysong are struggling with emotion to announce his passing on August 12, 2026 at his home in Pinellas Park Florida. Surrounded by family and friends Larry’s last weeks were marked by love and compassion as he hurried to follow his wife Connie Wysong of 59 years in her home going June 12, 2026. Larry was born April 07, 1943 in Goshen Indiana to parents David and Irene Wysong. In his youth he excelled in Basketball and Track and loved playing the Saxophone for several notable 50’s music groups. Larry served four years in the United States Navy and was stationed on the USS Enterprise Aircraft Carrier as a “Sub Killer”. Larry was an industry leader and innovator in the Thick Film and Micro Processor Chip industry which revolutionized many technologies in Computer and Electronic Processing. He led the teams that worked on several systems for many Aerospace and Defense applications including the “Space Shuttle” receiving world-wide recognition. He also traveled for his work extensively including China, Russia, Japan, France and Britain.
Larry married his (now deceased) best friend and wife of 59 years, Connie in 1966 living with her and his surviving children, Wendy Lehman, William Wysong, Debbie Hampton and David Wysong in several states finally settling in the Saint Petersburg, Florida area in 1978. He was also “World’s Greatest Grampy” to 13 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren. All of whom have many heirloom creations of Grampy’s master woodworking craftsmanship that he enjoyed so much in later years. Larry, Dad, (Grampy) will be missed terribly and always appreciated for his love, hard work and support of his wife, family and many friends. But we are overjoyed and comforted to know he and Mom, (Granny) have an opportunity to walk hand in hand with their Savior Jesus forever.
A small (Family Only) memorial service is planned for Larry at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Saint Petersburg for Tuesday August 25th, 2026. There will be a Celebration of Life held at unit 6 clubhouse in the Mainlands at 3:00
