Larry Irving

Larry Irving, affectionately known as BoJack, was born in Passaic, New Jersey on August 6, 1950 to the late Allen and Nannie Irving. He was the fourth eldest of ten children. Larry departed this life quietly and peacefully in his home in Altamonte Springs, FL on January 4, 2012 after an extended illness. He was educated in the Newark, NJ public school system and was subsequently employed by the City of Newark. Larry was later self employed as a freelance long distance tractor trailer operator until he retired. A resident of NJ until 2002, Larry then relocated to FL where he lived with his wife until his death. Larry met Denise (Barron) in 1999. They fell in love and became one flesh. Larry did not hide the fact that Denise was his love, his best friend and confidant. They spent their lives loving and caring for one another. Family was everything to Larry. He enjoyed family gatherings and, the larger the gathering, the better. His children and grandchildren were especially dear to Larry’s heart. He would walk a thousand miles if any one of them needed him. He always encouraged his children to stick together and to love, respect and look out for one another. Even after he became ill, Larry would request that all his grandchildren be sent to him for extended visits. Larry was an exceptional husband, parent and grandparent. Larry, known to his friends and family as BoJack, was an extremely loving and giving individual. He was well known and well liked by all he came in contact with. No matter what city or State he was in, there was nowhere that Larry went that he didn’t have a friend. His kind heartedness extended to everyone he knew, and was apparent in his giving and other assistance he provided, not just those he knew but to those who were less fortunate. Larry was always ready to share whatever he had. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife and best friend Denise Irving, one brother Eddie Lee Irving of New York, one sister, Elaine Holt of Newark, NJ, one brother-in-law Kenneth Barron (Thelma) of Irvington, NJ, two sisters-in-law Marie Gaskins of Newark, NJ and Elaine L. Hill of Altamonte Springs, FL, three daughters, Evelyn L. Irving of East Orange, NJ, LaKiesha N. Moody (Victor, Sr.) of East Orange, NJ and LaShonda T. Barrett (Darryl) of Philadelphia, PA, one son Allen Irving of Farmville, VA, ten grandchildren, Stanley, Quierra, Victor, Jr., Stephanie, Davon, Iliyaas, Keshawn, Samiyah, Jacqueline and, Diyari Larry, one great grandchild Alyssa, his trusty dog Cocoa and, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
