Kristine Birmingham Shaw of Sanford FL passed peacefully after a long illness on June 1, 2015. Mrs. Shaw was born in Bradford PA., a graduate of St. Bernard's Catholic High School, Bryant Stratton, Corning Community College and Barry University, practiced as a career Registered Nurse, focused on Health Care administration for Hospitals and Health Insurers, and as well held leadership positions as Director, Assistant Director and Case Manager, retiring in 2003.
Mrs. Shaw is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Gordon Shaw, daughters Michael Ann Elliott, Kristen Verkon and Kreagh Verkon, of Orlando, FL, Jennifer Allen of Davie FL and son, Jeffrey Verkon of Jacksonville FL., along with eight grandchildren, Devin, Alex and Braden Elliott, Kaylie Verkon, Madison and Colin Allen, Dalton and Delaney Maxwell and beloved son-in-laws, Ben Elliott and Michael Allen.
A family memorial service will be held at St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church in Bradford, PA at a later date. Mrs. Shaw final request was for those wishing to do so, please make a donation to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
