Kristin Marie Kology, 39 years old, of Winter Springs, Florida, passed away on May 30, 2018 while in the University of Michigan Hospital. She withstood a long battle with Adrenal Cortical Cancer, and was strong to the very end.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at DeGusipe Funeral Home located at 905 Laurel Avenue, Sanford, Florida .The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the Historic Chapel of All Souls Catholic Church 800 South Oak Avenue, Sanford, Florida. Father Richard Trout will be officiating. Interment will follow at All Souls Catholic Cemetery.
Kristin was born in Hyannis, Massachusetts on April 28, 1979, while her family was living in Cape Cod, MA. She graduated from Lyman High School. Kristin had a unique fashion sense and was a strong, independent woman who spoke her mind. She did not leave the house without having something on her that was bat, horror, or Nightmare Before Christmas related. Her posts on Facebook often frightened many with her horror pictures, but without a doubt delighted her friends in the horror community.
Kristin was very active in the Horror Film Industry and made numerous friends and contacts while she was a part of it. She was an avid lover of music, movies and animals. Kristin was a talented artist with a keen eye for capturing the perfect photo. She touched many with her kind and thoughtful personality. She had the ability to capture anyone's heart and affection that she came into contact with. She never met a stranger and had such a way about her that was inviting, warm, and made you feel like an old friend even if it was your first time meeting her. Family was very important to Kristin. She always enjoyed spending time with her Mother and Brother.
Kristin is survived by and will be greatly missed by her Mother and Step-Father, Susan and George Milam, Brother and Sister-in-Law, Jeffrey and Meghan Kology, Step-Sister and Step-Brother, Esti and Patrick McCoy, Step-Brother, George Milam, Jr. Kristin is survived by her nephews, Reid McCoy and Dillon Kology, nieces Araceli McCoy, Caroline Milam, and Haylee Kology and other family and friends.
Kristin is preceded in death by her Father, David Kology, Paternal Grandparents, Chester and Lorraine Kology, and Maternal Grandparents, Merton and Catharine Thomas.
