"Mrs. Kok Ying Lowe Chan (Mavis Lowe), 87, departed the physical world on December 26, 2017.

She was the youngest of four children born to Cheng-Tao Chen and Qun-Dai Deng in China. She was married to the love of her life, Edward Lowe, and moved to Jamaica in 1949.

She was a loving, dedicated mother to her eight children, always putting their needs above hers and made many sacrifices for her family throughout her lifetime. Her kindness, warmth, friendly smiles, and sense of humor touched all who knew her.

She will be sadly missed by her eight children, 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, extended family members, and wonderful friends, old and new."
