Hahnel, Khira Starr (Beck), 42, of Casselberry, Florida passed away on December 19th, 2016 at 6:15PM surrounded by all her loving family and friends, after fighting very hard for more than two and a half years with Appendix Cancer. Khira tried with all her will and might to beat it, even after trying several different types of chemotherapy treatments. She left this life the same way she lived it, with her eyes wide open. The world lost a very beautiful woman in heart, spirit, and strength, and God gained a very special Christmas Angel. During Khira's life, she never knew a stranger, everyone she met became a friend. She was born on August 3rd, in New Hanover Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, North Carolina to William (Bill) K. Beck and Cheryl Goettsche, both of Albuquerque, New Mexico. During college football season, Khira loved watching her favorite team, the Wisconsin Badgers, and her father's favorite team, the West Virginia Mountaineers, while talking to him on the telephone every Saturday.

Khira wanted to be remembered as always being an honest person, that she admired both her mother and father and that she felt exceedingly fortunate to find her husband, Frank John Hahnel III, and to have become his wife in 2014 after being diagnosed with cancer. Khira especially wants her children to know that she loves them more than anything else in this world and after.

Khira's career began with her working for special needs children in Atlanta, Georgia. From there, she worked for the non-profit organization, The Easter Bunny Foundation since 2005, and in that first year she was awarded a horary Orange County Sheriff's Office Deputy badge by former Sheriff Kevin Beary. Khira was also a member of the National Sheriff's Association. In 2014, Khira was presented the "Women's History Month Local Hero Award" by Pepsico. While loving, raising her blended family, Khira also worked for ABC Fine Wine & Spirits since August of 2013, reporting to her lifelong best friend Katherine Mason as their Technical Writer. Although Khira had enough college credits for a Master's equivalency, she sacrificed school to put her family first, and never got a chance to finish the last three courses to make it official.

Khira's favorite Patron Saint was Veronica, of Laundry Workers. This was because she loathed the never ending dirty laundry from a house of five people.

Khira loved traveling all over the United States, but unfortunately never got to complete her bucket list of traveling to Italy with all her family, due to complications from the intense chemotherapy.

Khira is survived by her husband Frank John Hahnel, III, her daughter Chloe Marie Williams (16), son Max Elliott Beck Williams (15), Stepdaughter Addisyn Grace Hahnel (6), her father William (Bill) K. Beck, Stepmother Tanda Beck, Stepsister Renea Kempf and her family Nathan, Lilly, and Daisy, her mother Cheryl Goettsche and husband Richard Corbett, the rest of the wonderful "Beck" Clan; Uncle Terry, Uncle Pat, Aunt Penny and their families, as well as Susan Kelley and Nick Vollendorf of New Berlin, Wisconsin. Khira always had a special place in her heart for Nick because of everything he taught her while she was growing up in her teenage and college years in Wisconsin. It's important to recognize the companionship of her two adopted cats, Athena and Liam.

Khira is also survived by her former husband, Kent Williams, father of Chloe and Max Williams and his family; Kent's parents, Joy and Larry Williams as well as his brother David Williams, David's current wife Matina Williams, David's former wife, Jill Williams and their son Grant Williams. Jill's other children Jarrod and Julia Gasper and Kent's younger brother Zane Williams and his family. We would also like to include the extended Williams family, Mary and Mike Stevens with Shannon Gilmore and Suzanne and Tim Ackley with Ashley Hartshaw Nutt and Adair Ackley.

She is survived by many other friends and family members who were all a special part of her life, and who will not be forgotten.
