Kenneth Joseph Medlar Sr., passed away peacefully on November 16, 2023, six days after his 94th birthday, and four minutes after receiving last rites. He was surrounded by family.

Ken (Kenny) was born in Burlington, Vermont, on November 10,1929 to Marcus I. Medlar, Sr. and Laura Mary Greenough Medlar. His wife, Ernestine Melton Medlar, predeceased him on December 31, 2019.

He is survived by three children, Lynn Medlar Katz (Bruce (Bud) Katz), Kenneth J. Medlar, Jr. (Judy Medlar), and Melissa Anne Foster (Chris Foster), two granddaughters, Jennifer Marie Medlar and Abby Lynn Moll, and twin great grandchildren, Harper Lily & Neil Christopher Medlar.

A funeral mass was held on Tuesday, November 28th, at 11:00 am at the All Souls Historic Chapel located at 800 S. Oak Avenue in Sanford, FL. A reception followed at DeGusipe Funeral Home, 905 S. Laurel Avenue, Sanford. The inurnment followed on Wednesday, November 29th at 11:30 am, at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery where Ken received full military honors for twenty years of dedicated service to his country in the United States Air Force.
