Kenneth Otto Giessuebel , age 82, passed away on April 15, 2016 with his family surrounding him. He was born on August 29, 1933 in Irvington, New Jersey the second oldest of 4 children.
He was a graduate of Upsala College and served in the US Army stationed in Fulda, Germany from 1953-1955. Predeceased in death by wife Deanna Celeste, his parents Otto and Theresa Giessuebel and sister Audrey Giessuebel. He is survived by his children Brian (Frances) Giessuebel of Orlando, Danette Giessuebel of Orlando, Tommy (Pamela) Giessuebel of Ocoee, Teriann (Charles) Wright of Ocoee and grandchildren, Thomas Giessuebel Jr., Peyton Giessuebel and Joseph Giessuebel. He is survived by his sister Ann Henley of Augusta, Ga. and brother Richard (Judith) Giessuebel of Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey. He married his wife of 54 years at St. Paul's the Apostle Catholic Church in Irvington, New Jersey. After relocating their family to Orlando, Kenneth worked for Martin Marietta Corporation (Lockheed Martin) for 27 years before retiring. He truly enjoyed being a part of his childrens' and grandchildrens' lives by going to their recitals and schools events, teaching them life's values and what it means to live by their faith. Showing them how to play football, baseball basketball, stickball, Yahtzee, chess and golf along with going to the beach and attending family gatherings. Kenneth enjoyed playing Bridge, golf and attending all types of major sporting events, especially horse racing. Kenneth, along with his wife, was a parishioner of St. James Catholic Cathedral. The viewing will be held at DeGusipe Funeral Home located at 9001 N Orlando Ave, Maitland, FL 32751, 407-695-2273 on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 4:00 p.m.to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Cathedral, 215 N. Orange Ave, Orlando, Florida 32801. Following the Mass, there will be an internment at Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando with a processional.
