Kathryn "Kathy" Louise Blau, 74, passed away peacefully with family at her side on April 11, 2023.

Kathy was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 28, 1948 to Raymond and Helen (Wilson) Gorski. She attended St. Veronica Grammar School and Good Council High School in Chicago and earned an Associate Degree from Woodstock Community College in Woodstock, Illinois. She married her beloved husband of 53 years, Dennis Blau, on March 22, 1970 and moved to Cary, Illinois. The family transferred to the Orlando area in February of 1992 and attended Annunciation Catholic Church of Altamonte Springs. She raised 2 daughters: Jeanine (Reader) and Denise (Thomason). She is survived by her sister: Alice Jorgenson, husband, both daughters and their husbands, 3 grandsons, 3 nieces, 1 nephew and multiple cousins.

She will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held in both Florida and Illinois in the near future. Please consider donating to the American Diabetes Association in her memory as Kathy was diagnosed as Type-1 Diabetic in 1983.
