Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and all-around person. She was incredibly generous, thoughtful, and courageous. She suffered many hardships throughout her life. She battled through everything to give her son, her granddaughter, and grandfather all that she had within her. Her smile and laugh lot lit up the room. She enjoyed working with her husband, playing games with her son and granddaughter, baking cookies with her niece (a second daughter to her) Jenni, sewing, gardening, cooking, and cataloguing her loved ones through photographs and detailed notes.

A favorite group of Kathleen's, after her son passed, was The Compassionate Friends. She, her husband, and her granddaughter went every spring to a "butterfly release ceremony"; and every winter to a "candle lighting ceremony" in remembrance of her late son.

Anyone lucky enough to have been graced by her presence in their life knows the lasting impact that she made. Her life was not all tragedy. She cherished each and every beautiful and happy moment that she had. We may mourn; though we must also celebrate her life and wonderful memory.

Kathleen is survived by her granddaughter Paige Kathleen Munro, grandson in-law Edward Anthony Munro, along with many siblings, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, great great-nieces, and great great-nephews.

Services for Kathleen, husband David Wayne Bowen, Sr. and their son David Wayne Bowen, Jr. will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at DeGusipe Funeral Home & Crematory, 1400 Matthew Paris Boulevard, Ocoee, FL 34761.
