Kevin Thomas (Tom to Florida, Kevin to NC) Risner, age 61, of Apopka, Florida passed away on April 24, 2020. Mr. Risner was born on November 18, 1958 in Cheverly, Maryland to Thomas Newton & Betty Dolores (Miller) Risner.

Tom bravely fought a 5 year battle, which he won, with throat cancer, but could not defeat the lymphoma that followed.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Marie (Thompson) Joyce and her daughters Paula Black and Nanci Savage Oxner of Apopka, as well as his mother Dolores Risner of Arden NC and brothers John Risner, and wife Sharon Parente, of Larchmont, New York and Jim Risner of Nelson New Zealand

Due to the coronavirus there are no services scheduled at this time. We hope to have a celebration of his life in FL later this summer, followed by a Memorial Service in NC in September.
