June Nichol Soder, 92, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2016. She leaves her daughter Debby (David) Fann, granddaughters Kelly Woods and Kristy (Nick) Boullemet and 7 great-grandchildren (Drew, Gavin, Maya, Karley, Layla, Candace and Tyler). She is preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Nichol and Edward Soder, and son Thomas (Tommy) Nichol.
June was born in Evansville, IN, to Gorman and Gladys Lawhead. She had 3 sisters (Martha Sue, Sharon, and Linda) and 1 brother (Charles). As a young girl, June moved to Miami, FL, where she met Nick and later married in Virginia where their children were born. Nick was transferred to Orlando in 1965. June worked as a secretary for Frank Roper in Winter Garden and also as a secretary to Dyke Shannon at the American Legion Florida headquarters. She retired in 1987 and Nick and she moved to Osteen, FL. Nick passed away in 1993. June remarried Ed Soder in 2001 and continued to live in Osteen until their passing.
June enjoyed cooking, dancing, singing in the church choir and spent many hours cross stitching and sewing. Her love of the water presented many family and friends vacations at the beach. June loved being surrounded by her children, grands and great-grands.
