June Rudner, 90, born in New York City, completed her life journey October 12, 2016 in Winter Park, Florida. She was married to Morris Jack Rudner, whom she met at a USO dance during World War II. They settled first in Long Island and later in New Milford, Connecticut, where they enjoyed small town life, boating, and many good friends. They retired early, 29 years ago, to enjoy life in Hutchinson Island, Port St. Lucie and later, the Orlando area. They traveled extensively, visiting many interesting places across the world.

June was a sharp bridge player, avid reader, movie lover, Scrabble champion, loyal library patron and a quick wit. She was a graduate of Queens College (NY) and earned a master's degree at Western Connecticut State College. She taught elementary school in Bantam, CT, for many years. Her values legacy include a commitment to high quality public education and public libraries.

We are very grateful for the wonderful care provided by supportive and skillful staff at Westminster Winter Park. We also express our gratitude to Rose Peart and Diana Chapa for compassionate care and friendship. We are forever grateful to our cousins and friends who have been wonderful help and support in the past five years of caregiving.

Family includes daughter, Nancy Rudner (m. Udeth Lugo), son Larry Rudner (m. Pam Getson), granddaughters Sarah Lugo Rudner and Mara Lugo Rudner, grandsons Leland Rudner and Andrew Rudner, sister Norma Chadick, and sister-in-law Estelle Kalichman.
