June E. Swertel Foran, age 77, of Windermere, FL died suddenly on June 19, 2019.  June was born in Chicago, IL and graduated from Thomas Kelly High School.  She worked as an accountant for the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Blitz, and Loebl Schlossman & Hackl. While working at the Chicago Cubs she met and married the love of her life, Jerry Foran.  Theirs was a 24/7 marriage as they worked in the same companies for their entire careers.  They moved to Buffalo in 1986 and she was employed as the Ticket Office Controller for the Buffalo Bills until they both retired in 2007.

In 2007, they moved to Florida to be near their son and his family.  Here they spent their happiest years being important parts of their grandchildren's lives.  They picked them up from school, supervised their homework, went to their sporting events, and did many weekend sleepovers…most importantly they loved them and were loved back.  Jerry passed away in 2017 and June moved in with her son and his family where she has been loved, taken care of and cherished.

June was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry; her parents, Edgar and Hazel Swertel; her brothers, Buck, Bob and Jack Swertel; and her in- laws, Peggy and Phil Foran. She is survived by her son, Joe; her daughter-in-law, Kim; her grandchildren, Joey, Drew, and Katie; her sisters-in-law, Patty (John) Rittinger, Peggy Foran (Dave Schmidt), Eileen Foran, and Maureen Ryan; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Viewing will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at DeGusipe Funeral Home & Crematory, 1400 Matthew Paris Blvd., Ocoee, FL 34761 followed by a memorial service starting at 12 noon.
