June Dixon Condron died quietly at home on August 21, surrounded by her family, from
complications of cancer.

A native of England, she was born in 1936 to Tom and Hilda Dixon. She and her sister Marjorie
could recall the blackouts of World War II and hiding under the kitchen table as German bombs
dropped near their home in Hindley, Lancashire.

June and her husband of 54 years, Colin, met as teenagers in adjacent preparatory schools. June received her degree in physical chemistry from Liverpool University. Talented academically, as
well as athletically, she held collegiate records in both the 400 and 800 meters. After graduation
June went on to teach while Colin completed his medical training at Trinity College, Dublin.
In the mid-60s, the couple moved to Baltimore, where Colin had received a fellowship at Johns
Hopkins University. They then moved to Miami, eventually settling in Orlando in the early 70's.
June was much involved with her husband's practice Pediatric Associates , especially during the
years when they pushed for the establishment of what is now the Arnold Palmer Children's
Hospital.

Having become an American citizen, June's interest in her new government led to volunteer
work and then the presidency of the Orange County League of Women Voters in the late 70s.
Soon after that she joined the staff of the Supervisor of Elections, where she worked for almost
two decades, ultimately as the Deputy Supervisor of Elections for Orange County.
Widely traveled and well read, June would occasionally impress her friends by reciting lengthy
works by English poets, which she had memorized as a schoolgirl. Her interests were varied, but
usually centered around her close family life and many friendships.
In numerous journeys , June acquired the title of "The Navigator," due to her fine-tuned sense of
direction in pre-GPS days. In her personal life as well, her quiet guidance was always an integral
part of the Condron household.

Along with her husband, Dr. Colin Condron, she is survived by daughter Josephine Condron
Reeves (Carver); son Dr. Simon Liam Condron (Deborah); and grandchildren Taylor Victoria
Reeves, Carver Joseph Reeves, Colin James Reeves, Avery Marie Condron and Madison Claire
Condron. Also living in Orlando are sister Marjorie Radcliffe, niece Ann Michele Ballentine
(Chris) and nephew Steven James Radcliffe (Michelle).

A requiem mass will be held on Wednesday, August 26, at 2 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church in
downtown Orlando, followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the
family would appreciate donations to "IDignity" 424 E. Central Blvd #199, Orlando, FL 32801 or St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. James Cathedral.

Reception will immediately following graveside services at "The Country Club of Orlando."
