Julia Neme Ayub
IN LOVING MEMORY
July 28, 1936 – January 3, 2025

Julia Neme Ayub was born on July 28, 1936, in the town of Cañete, near Lima, Peru. Her life's journey took her across many miles migrating to Hackensack, NJ and eventually leading her to Oviedo, Florida, where she passed away peacefully on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the age of 88.

With a heart full of love and a radiant spirit, Julia—fondly known as "Tia Julita"—touched the lives of all who knew her. At age twenty-seven she immigrated to the United States. She was devoted to her family and spent her life making sure that she provided for them and that they had as many opportunities as possible. Her dreams did come to fruition as she watched her family grow and thrive.

Julia lived a life rich in purpose and generosity. She had a profound passion for helping others, particularly families adjusting to life in the United States. Known affectionately as "La Tia de Paterson" during her years in Paterson, New Jersey, Julia was a source of strength and support, often offering shelter and guidance to those in need. While she humbly dismissed the praise she received, her acts of kindness left an indelible mark on countless lives.

Her warm laughter, infectious spirit, and resilience—like that of a "warrior"—will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate to journey through life alongside her. Julia's greatest accomplishments were rooted in her faith and family. She imparted wisdom, nurtured with love, and built a legacy that will echo through generations.

From the beginning, Julia shared an unbreakable bond with her beloved sisters, Nelly and Isabel. Their connection was a testament to enduring love, filled with shared laughter, unwavering support, and countless cherished memories. Together, they nurtured a family that flourished under their love and guidance.

Julia was the proud mother of two children, Miriam Peck (Mark) and Jose Neme. Her heart was equally dedicated to her extended family, as she played a pivotal role in changing the lives of her sisters' children: Millie Badolato (Stephen), Tami Gillen (Brian), Fada Concepcion Neme, Karime Franklin (Michael), and Isabel Sanchez. To her children and nieces, she was a pillar of love and encouragement, instilling in them the values of hard work, compassion, kindness, and unity.

Her legacy extends to her treasured grandchildren: Matt Peck (Kat), Mariah Peck, Annalycia Franklin, Donovan Franklin, Isaac Franklin, Elizabeth Badolato, Lensa Badolato, Sofia Miller, and Rosa Miller. Each grandchild held a unique place in her heart, bringing her immeasurable joy, laughter, and pride. Her grandchildren will forever remember her as their beloved "Abuelita Julia."

Julia was preceded in death by her parents, Moises and Fada Neme; her sisters, Nelly and Isabel Neme; and her brother, Jorge Neme. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Martin Concepcion, as well as a large and loving family who will carry forward her memory with gratitude.

To know Julia was to know unconditional love, unwavering faith, and a life well-lived. Her legacy is a
beacon of hope and an enduring reminder of the beauty of a life dedicated to others. A private service to celebrate her life will be held.

May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who loved her.
