Julia Chirevas Maurice passed away peacefully on April 3, 2016 in Orlando, FL at the age of 78.


Julia was born to parents Peter and Maria Chirevas on February 4, 1938 in New York City. She grew up as the eldest of 5 children. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.

On September 20, 1964 Julia married Leonard Maurice and had her only child; Nicole Athena on July 13, 1970.

Julia worked for the Orange County Zoning Department for 20 years. After her retirement; she spent a lot of her free time traveling with her husband and quality time with her grandchildren Logan Christian and Landon Cole.


Julia is survived by her husband; Leonard Maurice, daughter; Nicole Athena Briggle, sisters; Katherine Franquelli, Diana LiRosi and Fannie Galeano; brother; Gregory Chirevas, two grandsons; Logan Christian Briggle and Landon Cole Briggle and her son-in-law John K. Briggle.


A memorial service will be held in honor of Julia on April 16, 2016 at 11:00am at DeGuspie Funeral Home: 9001 N. Orlando Ave. Maitland; FL 32751
