Obituary

On Monday, June 20, 2022, Judith Andrea Feldman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away at the age of 76. Judi was born on October 8, 1945 in Knoxville, Tennessee; the daughter of Peggy Elizabeth (neé Sherrod) and Adner Molinas Perry, Jr.

Judi and her family moved to Melbourne Beach, Florida, where she graduated from Melbourne High School. Judi loved music and dancing and competed in several pageants as a teenager. After graduating, she moved to Cocoa Beach and became a secretary for the astronaut training program at Kennedy Space Center, where she was the assigned secretary to Captain James Lovell.

Judi left NASA to pursue her passion of being a stewardess for National Airlines. While living in Cocoa Beach, she met her husband, John, and they married August 9, 1969. In 1971, they moved to the Chicago suburbs where they lived for 16 years. Her dream was to get back to warmer weather in Florida, and in 1987 that dream came true when John was transferred with AT&T back to Orlando.

Judi worked in hospitality and event planning in Florida from 1987 until January 2022. She felt very blessed to live near all of her grandchildren and loved attending their many activities. She was also very involved with fundraising and awareness for gynecological cancers. In February 2022, she was honored to participate with her dear friend, Karen Ingalls, in the Martin Truex, Jr. Foundation's "Catwalk for a Cause" to raise funds for ovarian cancer research at the Daytona International Speedway. She enjoyed spending time with her friends in her "lunch bunch" group, as well as working with the Teal Magnolia Luncheon fundraiser for ovarian cancer.

Judi was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Amelia Gates, who also fought a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She is survived by her husband John A. Feldman; her daughters Lovelle L. Augustine and Stacy E. Mason; her son, Andrew S. Feldman; her brother Larry D. Perry; and her grandchildren Jordan, Jennifer, William and Lauren.

A celebration of life, open to all, will be held at 6:00 pm on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at the home of Philip and Lovelle Augustine at 50 Minnehaha Circle, Maitland, FL, 32751.

Judi was a fierce advocate for raising awareness and funding for the ovarian cancer research efforts of Dr. Robert Holloway with the AdventHealth Cancer Institute.
