Joyce Pomeroy Kintner, age 68 of Altamonte Springs, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, December 26, 2017.
She was born on October 24, 1949 in Orlando, Florida to William Pomeroy, Jr. and Willa Dukes. She was the beloved wife of Britt Kintner for the past 46 years, cherished mother of Scott (Kim) Kintner and Marcia (Steve) Simpson, and the most wonderful Mimi to her 7 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Janet Farrell and nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
Known as "Joy" by her family, she was truly a joy to those around her. She served her family faithfully with a loving and generous heart. She was gentle, kind and beautiful, both inside and out. She loved the Lord and found ways each day to bless and care for others.
Joyce graduated with honors from Evans High School and Jones Business College, Orlando. Following her graduation, she was a legal secretary at Akerman Senterfitt Law Firm in Orlando. She was a long time member of Sanlando United Methodist Church and helped with the Girl Scouts for over 12 years.
She loved nature, especially birds, and enjoyed dancing, reading, photography, and the special times she had with her grandchildren. She will be forever missed by her family and friends and will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on January 4, 2018 at 3pm at Sanlando United Methodist Church, Longwood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Sanlando United Methodist Church building fund. Please share memories and condolences online at
