Joyce Marilyn Griffey passed away on February 17, 2024 in Orlando, Florida at the age of 91. She is preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Ruth Miller, her husband Roger Griffey, her son Michael Griffey (Kathy), and her daughter Jean Leechin (Tom). She is survived by her son Kenneth Griffey (Karen), her son Donald Griffey (Melanie), her son David Griffey (Gail), and her daughter Laura Pelham (Ken).

Joyce was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1932. She and Roger married in 1952. They have lived and worked in Indianapolis, South Bend, Indiana, Fort Myers, Florida, and Tampa, Florida. Joyce has recently lived in Sanford, Florida and Maitland, Florida. She is the matriarch of a large, extended family with six children and their spouses, 16 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.

A public visitation will be held on Friday March 1, 2024. A funeral mass will be held at St Mary Magdalen Church on Saturday March 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM. A life celebration and reception at the The Grove at Trelago will follow. Joyce will be interred with her husband Roger on Monday March 4, 2024 at the National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
