Joyce Faye (Metoyer) Dual, 75 of Sanford, Florida passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017. She was born on July 15, 1941 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Numa and Leah (Roberts) Metoyer. She was the fifth child and much desired daughter. Her brothers, Lionel and Numa Vincent both preceded her in death. Joyce was a devoted mother who took great joy in her three children: Leah, Joe, and Karen Dual who are all residents of Sanford, Florida. All three of her children survive her, as do her brothers, Leonard Metoyer of Shreveport, Louisiana and James Metoyer of Alexandria, Louisiana.

She was a lover of art and history and never tired of visiting museums. Her favorite job was working as a museum gift shop manager. Many of her hobbies were centered around her home where she focused on making her family comfortable and happy.

Joyce moved to Sanford in 1995 and has been a parishioner of All Soul's Catholic Church since that time. The funeral mass will be at All Souls Catholic Church Historic Chapel on Monday, February 6th at 11 a.m. Joyce battled Cancer in 2008 and had fought ongoing health issues since that time. She always had a smile and a kind word for all.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be sent to Share the Care http://www.helpforcaregivers.org . Joyce attended Share the Care adult centers daily for the last several years. She and her family greatly appreciated the devoted staff, daily activities, as well as the companionship of the other program participants.
