Through her 96 years, Mrs. Josephine Giallombardo Lathrop was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, Noni, forever a proud Italian and devout Catholic.

Mrs. Lathrop, of Maitland, Florida, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 28, 2021. She was born August 19, 1925, in Dayton, Ohio to Sicilian immigrant parents.

Josephine lit up a room with her laughter, loved music, and dancing at The Italian Club. She was an avid fan of football, particularly Bobby Bowden and Tom Brady. She derived great joy from cooking any number of Italian dishes to share with family and friends.

With her beloved husband Jack, Josephine created a large and tight-knit family that she loved fiercely. She is survived by her children: Jacqueline Lohmann; Joe Lathrop with wife Victoria Isley; John Lathrop; and Janine Tresnan with husband Peter Tresnan. She was "Noni" to grandchildren: John Lohmann and wife Natalia Lohmann; Courtney Lohmann and partner Ryan Albertson; Elizabeth Lohmann; Morgan Lathrop; Chris Lathrop and wife Marcia Lathrop; Kaley Tresnan Williams and husband Rob Williams; Jackson Tresnan; and Emmalee Tresnan. She was also blessed by beautiful great-grandchildren: Addison Walters; Olivia Lohmann; Tanner Williams and Benjamin Lathrop.

A Memorial Mass will be held January 22, 2022 at 9:30am at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 526 N. Park Avenue, Winter Park, Florida.
