Obituary

Joseph Warren Wise died on December 6, 2018, at the age of 41. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend.

Joseph was born in Winter Park, Florida on September 19, 1977 to Warren and Sandy Wise. He graduated from Winter Park High School in 1995.

Joseph was never happier than when he was in a boat on the Winter Park Chain of Lakes. Oh the stories that "Dog Island" could tell. He enjoyed cooking; he was one of those who could put together a nice meal from whatever was in the fridge. He loved creating interesting spaces where friends and family could gather. He was a very good conversationalist who enjoyed talking to people about a wide variety of subjects. It was one of the reasons he enjoyed reading so much, so he could learn about things and exchange ideas when he talked to people about their passions or expertise and share with them his. He enjoyed building things; whether it was a boathouse or a dock, or a table for his house. Joseph had the gift of listening, and the ability to help you think through and process whatever you were going through, and was always generous with his sound and considerate advice.

Joseph was dearly loved by his entire family and by his many close friends. Always hospitable and gracious, Joseph's warm, calm, and humorous demeanor will be sorely missed by all who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Warren Robert Wise. He is survived by his mother, Sandy Lucas, step-dad, Dr. Charles Lucas, 3 brothers, Mark, Christopher, Matthew, grandparents, Bing and Shelia Domingo, loving aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins.

A celebration of his life was held Saturday, December 8, at his house in Maitland.

He is loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
