Joseph Tomaselli, 73, of Altamonte Springs, Florida passed away at home on April 3, 2026. His beloved wife Debra was beside him.
Joe was born in Fitchburg Massachusetts on December 1,1952 to Joseph and Pauline Tomaselli. The family moved to Derry, New Hampshire where he attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School and Pinkerton Academy. After earning his BA in Communications at the University of New
Hampshire, Joe moved to Altamonte Springs, Florida after accepting a sales job in the gift and decorative accessory industry.
He excelled in sales – enjoying the 'thrill of the hunt' as he used to call it. He was predictable and dependable, and his emotions never swayed with the ups and downs of sales.
It was here that he met the love of his life, Debra, and they married in 1982. They have three daughters and 13 grandchildren.
Joe was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. A dedicated member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, he joined the Knights of Columbus, was an usher and was inducted into the Order of St. Mary Magdalen in 2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Pauline Tomaselli, his infant granddaughter, Abigail Therese Hernandez, and his brother Steve Tomaselli.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Debra, and children Lynn (Justin) Hernandez, Jenna Tomaselli, Sara (Thomas) Schmidt and 13 grandchildren Ave, Matthew, Angelina, Ayla, James, Dominic, Annelise, Amelia, Alaina (Hernandez) and Eleanor, Theodore, Bernard and Lucille (Schmidt) He is also survived by his brother Kevin (Becky) Tomaselli, sister Gina (Bryan) Maki, sister Kathy (the late Frank) Catalfamo and several nieces and nephews.
Wake services will be held at DeGusipe Funeral Home, 9001 N. Orlando Avenue, Maitland, Florida on Thursday April 9 from 6pm to 8pm.
A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 861 Maitland Avenue, Altamonte Springs, Florida on Friday April 10 at 10 o'clock am.
