Joseph Polizzi, 90, born in Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 22, 2019 with his wife, Emily, by his side at The Mayflower Retirement Community in Winter Park, Florida.
Joseph will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather and a loyal friend.
He dedicated his life to his family and his work. He was employed at Ideal Toy Company as a skilled tool and die maker and along with his two best friends, built a successful manufacturing business on Long Island, New York. After 25 years he retired and moved to Florida.
He loved spending time with his family, was an active member of the Italian American Social Club of Orlando and a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. He loved fishing and enjoyed boating and playing the guitar.
Joseph will be dearly missed by Emily, his wife of 65 years, his daughter Lois Sirota and her husband Alan of Winter Springs, Florida, his son Louis Polizzi and his wife, Susan of Auburndale, Florida, along with his 4 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 3, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Margaret Mary Catholic Church 526 N. Park Ave Winter Park, Florida.
