Like a ship that is mooring
And sails bravely out to sea
So someone dear has sailed away
In calm serenity.
But there's a promise of greater joy
Then earth could have in store,
For God has planned a richer life
Beyond the unseen shores
On April 30, 2020 our beloved Joseph Vanfleet Pinder
Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle and faithful friend slipped away from
us. He was blessed into this world on May 11, 1953 in Long Island,
Bahamas. He met his future wife Carol of 39 years in the early 1980's
and moved to Staten Island N.Y. A loving family was produced children
Tiffany, Jazmyn, Kim, Victor and Toshia. He is survived by his Brother
Jessie and wife Terry, nephews Miko and wife Angelica, Swanko, J.J. ,Danny and David Pinder.
Joe was a loving and caring Man who loved all kinds of music and was
always and I mean always singing. And advent lover of all sports, but most
of all loved traveling and taking family vacations. His favorite time of
the year was the Christmas Holidays and preparing his infamous "HAM
and PEAS & RICE"
And if you were blessed to have him in your life there wasn't anything that he wouldn't do for you if he could. His loving and kind spirit will remain in our hearts forever. Joseph would tell us, if my parting has left a void then fill it with loving memories, laughter and joy. As my life has been full of beautiful family, good friends and good times. Perhaps my time was all too, brief don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Joey Bahama may you rest in peace.
Your loving family.
