Joseph John Mikucki

Joseph John Mikucki (J.J.) was born January 6, 1946 in Jaski, Poland. He immigrated to the United States with his family in 1959 and lived in Manville, NJ. He graduated from Manville High School in 1965 and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1966. Following Basic Training and Tech School he was sent to Ismir, Turkey as a communication specialist. Joseph was discharged from the Air Force in 1969 and returned to New Jersey.

He married Christine Nosewicz in 1972 and they lived in Bound Brook and Union Beach NJ. He was active in the Polish Falcon Nest 946 of Somerville, NJ. His sons are Joseph. Jr. born 1977 and Adam born 1978. Joseph Jr. preceded him in death in 2011.

Joseph worked in communications for Monmouth County, NJ until he relocated to St. Petersburg in 1997. He operated the Ruta Polish Bakery located on Central Avenue until he retired in 2005. Joseph was a parishioner of the Mercy of God Polish Mission of St. Petersburg and was an active member of the local Polish community.

Joseph is survived by his son, Adam and grandson Tyler of Cliffwood Beach, NJ, grandson Joseph III of Freehold, NJ, sister, Donna Kieffer (James) of Seminole, FL and niece Kristina of Seminole, nephew Sebastian and niece Emilia of Chicago.
