Joseph Michael Koropsak passed away peacefully on Saturday March 23, 2019 at the age of 83. Born and raised in Bayonne, New Jersey. He was the first son of Joseph and Mary Koropsak (deceased). He had one brother, Edward (deceased). He attended Bayonne High School where he had a passion for swimming, earning him a record for the freestyle butterfly, which he still holds to this day. He was affectionately known as (Whitey) to his friends.
Joe was married to his loving wife Claire for 42 years. They had two children Jeanmarie and Joe. His greatest joy was the birth of his two grandchildren Christine and Claire.
He graduated from Lasalle Academy and St. Peter's University and took business courses at the University of Notre Dame. Joe served in Army National Guard for 3 Years.
As Sales Representative he worked for B-D lab in New York , Damiem Laboratories that later became Quest labs, Orlando.
Joe was a devout Catholic, joined the Knights of Columbus at the age of 18. He was grandnisht in N.J. and in Sanford where he was treasurer for over 30 years and bingo chairman for council 5357. He was an active member at the time of his death.
Joe enjoyed trains, cruises, and flying.
He was blessed later in his life to meet and marry his present wife Marie. They had wonderful family times visiting and traveling. He was fortunate to have both families in sickness and in health. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Joe had many friends but was amazing was his friend Bill Colligan of 50 years. His friend John Tobey of 50 years. He was godfather to his son Robert Tobey who he loved dearly.
He is survived by his wife Marie, her children Ann Marie and husband Bryan Stacy, and grandson Logan. Joe was so happy to be present for Logans birth. Son Andrew and his wife Joy Langone, grandchildren, Jackson, Bogdan, and Natalia. Daughter Angela and husband Dan Snow, grandchildren Reese and Blake. Maries niece Christine and husband Robert Cato, and family. Joe's daughter Jeanmarie Laib and grandchildren Christine and Claire Foss. Son Joseph and wife Tami Koropsak.
