Joseph Hixson went home to be with the Lord on August 23, 2022. He was born in Norwood, Massachusetts. He grew up in Sharon Massachusetts, attending Sharon High School. After high school, Joe enlisted in the US Army, serving in multiple duty stations including the elite Guardian Battalion in Berlin. After the Army, he moved to Casselberry, Florida where he lived until his death. He had a successful finish carpentry business and grew a large, loyal customer base.

He is survived by his brother Stephen and wife Janet of Las Vegas NV, brother Theodore and wife Mary Lou of Moseley VA, and sister Jennifer and her husband, Stafford Mooney of Vero Beach FL. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, great nephews and a great niece.

Joe had a generous spirit, a heart of gold and a quick wit. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. He loved his family and friends and will be sorely missed.
