Joseph Abraham passed away peacefully and surrounded by love on February 10, 2025, at the age of 82, in Sanford, FL.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife and caretaker, Jane; his stepdaughter, Melanie, and her husband, Izaak; his cherished granddaughter, Jasmine; and his sister, Barbara.
Born on August 10, 1942, in Georgetown, Guyana, to Joseph Abraham and Una Boodhoo, Joseph lived a life full of hard work, determination, and passion. He graduated from Indian Education Trust College with a degree in Engineering and built a fulfilling career as an Electrical Engineer at Anheuser-Busch in Jacksonville, where he proudly worked until retirement. But beyond his career, his greatest joy was the life he built with his beloved wife, Jane, sharing 29 wonderful years together. He was a devoted husband who took great pride in providing for Jane, always ensuring she had everything her heart desired.
Joseph was known for his love of life—whether it was his enthusiasm for bowling, his passion for NASCAR, his remarkable ability to answer most Jeopardy questions, his love for traveling and exploring new places, or the warmth he brought to every room he entered. He had a gentle spirit, a sharp mind, and a heart full of generosity. But above all, he shared an unbreakable bond with his granddaughter, Jasmine, who was the light of his life. Every moment with her was treasured, and the love between them was immeasurable.
Joseph was more than a husband, stepfather, and "Grappy"—he was a kind and gentle soul whose presence brought comfort and joy to those around him. His legacy of love and selflessness will continue to live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.
