Jose J. Perez, 91, passed away on September 6, 2024. He was born in Caracas Venezuela on September 3, 1933 to Jose de Jesus Perez Dipp and Olga Cecilia Machado de Perez. He studied at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, the University of Rome (Italy) and at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where he graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
He met his future wife Mary Sarros at the University of Michigan. They were married on September 2, 1962 and moved to Venezuela where he worked for a Venezuelan cement company. In 1980, they moved to St. Cloud, Florida where they had family and started an export company. Since retiring in 1995, they have resided in Winter Springs, Florida. He enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren that he was very proud of and who adored him. He loved traveling, having visited at least 67 countries. He was positive, energetic, and charismatic and his presence always lit up the room.
He leaves behind his wife Mary, four children, Arturo (Karen), Alejandro (Angie), Christina (Joe), and Jose E. (Daihana) and eight wonderful grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Henry .
