Jordan Michael-Patrick Murphy of Chuluota, FL, age 28, passed away March 31, 2022, at home surrounded by family. Jordan was born in LaGrande, OR, and moved to Florida at the age of one. He graduated from Hagerty High School in 2012, and studied psychology at Seminole State College. Jordan was an active member of the Friedereich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) community, and passionately engaged in treatment studies with the hope that his involvement would benefit others.
Jordan was preceded in death by his grandmother Sally Smith and sister Harriet Shaw Murphy and is survived by his mother Jodie Gale Murphy and beloved friend Wes Bartelson, father Michael James Murphy and Step Mother Carey Beth Murphy, and his siblings Cole Goodwin and Idgie Gray Murphy. His grandparents Dennis and Glenda (Meema) Smith, Debbie Rutherford-Coffman and Tom and Mary Robillard and his great grandmother Greta "GGG" Helmer. Uncles and aunts: Jeff Robillard and Georgie Mitchell; Jaime Robillard and Ben Dubin, Sam and Debbie Romaldo, Jon and Linda Dickl. Great aunts Rose Loehr, great aunt Kelly and great uncle Louie Loper, great aunt Sandy Hansen, and great uncle Randy and great aunt Paula Carroll. Cousins Cierra Livingston, Chantel Romaldo, Jonathan Dickl, Garrett Dickl, Kaiden Hood, Summer Postill, River McCue, Ryder Livingston and Everleigh Livingston; and many other cousins and extended family and loving friends.
A memorial service will be held at River Run Christian Church in Chuluota, FL on Saturday April 23, 2022 at 11am with a reception immediately to follow in the church lobby.
