Johnnie "John" Lowell James, son of Carl and Pauline James, was born January 21, 1954 in Long Island, New York. He passed away at his home in Longwood, Florida on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the age of 64. He is predeceased by his father Carl E. James.

John is survived by his wife, Joyce, of 43 years. They were married May 3, 1975 in Orlando, Florida. His son Lowell (Sharla) James; daughter Carlee James; grandsons Kyle, Carter, Watson, and Warner; mother Pauline James; sister Claudia (Les) Shaw; brothers Michael and Richard James; and many loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

John graduated from Lyman High School. He worked in construction as a subcontractor, carpenter, and electrician throughout his life.

John was the ultimate family man. He enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandsons. Great fathers make even better "Papaws" and he was the best. He loved going on bike rides and spending time at the beach. Even better if it was a bike ride on the beach. He loved history, classic movies, and watching his grandsons play baseball. Those who knew him, knew he was a generous, kindhearted, and selfless man. He was always a man of few words, but always knew the correct thing to say at just the right time. John will be remembered as a hardworking and honest man, who enjoyed life and absolutely loved his family.
