At an early age John moved to Thief River Falls, MN where he completed his early education. While at Lincoln HS he excelled in many sports activities. He was awarded both football and hockey scholarships to many colleges and universities and accepted a hockey scholarship to Notre Dame University.
For several years John played hockey in the semi-pro league. His next move was to Milwaukee, WI where he met and married Michele and his daughter Jeannine was born. He later moved to Colorado and Arizona before relocating to Central FL over 30 years ago.
After his hockey career John worked in many different fields including the hospitality business, investor relations and finally retired as a property manager in the real estate field.
One of John's greatest passions was rooting for the Minnesota Vikings and all the Minnesota sports teams. He appreciated the companionship of his many friends while playing golf, poker or a game of pool. John enjoyed listening to 60's rock and roll music, the company of his beloved "best friend" Bart, working on his koi pond and floating in his backyard pool. His smile and wit will be missed by many, but he will live in our hearts forever.
