John Robert Lozar, 74, of Masontown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 in his home with his wife by his side.

John was born on February 28, 1950 the son of John and Jean (Nocenti) Lozar.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

John retired from Albert Gallatin School District after teaching for 35 years. He has taught and influenced thousands of students throughout a wonderful career. John enjoyed the serenity of Ohiopyle and had a passion for weight lifting.

John is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Debbie Lozar, children, Frank Lozar and wife Tera of Venetia, PA and Jeff Lozar of Colorado, granddaughters whom he loved being with, Tess and Talia Lozar, siblings, Lou Lozar and wife Toni of Uniontown, PA, Mary Ellen Swaney and husband Don of Hopwood, PA, and Sharon Kelly and husband Gerry of West Palm Beach, FL, nephews, Brian and Christopher Kelly.

Arrangements are under the direction of the DeGusipe Funeral Home and Crematory, 65 N. Gallatin Ave., Uniontown, PA, Stacey A. Dolfi, FD. Interment is private.
