John F. Lenihan, Jr.of Altamonte Springs FL, formerly of Brighton MA, age 83 passed away on July 22, 2021. He was born in Boston on June 27, 1938, the first son of Irish immigrants John and Delia (Brennan) Lenihan. He attended local schools and graduated from St Mary High School in Waltham MA.
John served his country honorably for several years in the US Army and Central Intelligence Agency. Subsequently, he served as a communications officer in the Merchant Marines and retired after 20 years of service.
A longtime resident of Florida, he leaves behind his beloved wife (Margarita) of Altamonte Springs FL. He is also survived by siblings Thomas (Marilyn),of Avon CT, Mary Dillon (Richard),of Scituate MA, Sheila Snyder (Paul),of Newton MA, Joseph,of Brighton MA and Richard (Jane),of Naples FL Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins in the United States and Ireland.
There are no calling hours. Burial will be private
